INTERNAL
ACCOUNT MANAGER

Attractive salary and uncapped Commission Scheme

TITLE: Internal Account Manager         REPORTING UP: Commercial Director

THE ROLE:

You will be responsible for your own key accounts and for the support of key accounts held by our directors. Working proactively, you will achieve your own orders/sales and growth targets and contribute to the overall company targets. You have a proven track record of achieving excellent customer service, handling multiple projects and providing total customer care at all times whilst ensuring maximum potential spend is achieved. Sales planning is an essential skill, allowing you to accurately predict anticipated sales revenue and will form an important part of your role, with regular sales team meetings to discuss activity and potential opportunities. The role is primarily office-based from Old Trafford however a flexible approach is required as and when customer / prospect visits are needed. In short, this is an extremely important role within the business!

 

We want someone to manage existing and new accounts generated through prospecting and new incoming enquiries to give a combined target of £400K+ per annum.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Excellent communication skills – plus the ability to think, and act, quickly to resolve any issues.

  • Commercially aware, with extensive product and supplier knowledge to help product selection.

  • At least 3 years’ experience of the promotional products industry.

  • External and internal customer presentations, travel as required.

  • Identify and exploit possible new opportunities – customers, prospects, products and markets.

  • Create strategic action plans and timetables to achieve maximum exploitation of key accounts.

  • Receive enquiries, pricing, following-up and quoting – negotiating the best possible margins.

  • Strong ‘account management’ skills, from targeting through to enquiry, quotation, follow-ups.

  • Help to ensure that AD Merchandise is totally customer focused in all that it does.

  • Willing to learn and hungry for success.

ACCOUNT MANAGER

FULL TIME – MANCHESTER BASED

THE ROLE:

To support growth of the business, as the account manager you will be responsible for managing and organically growing sales through your allocated customer accounts, in addition to developing new sales opportunities independently. Primarily based at our office in Old Trafford with the flexibility to work from home where required.   • Receiving customer briefs then preparing tangible and impactful merchnadise solutions utilising our approved supply chain.

  • You'll be the key contact for businesses we work with, so we'll expect you to be an ambassador and be both personable and professional.

  • You must be proactive and reactive with the ability to identify and exploit new opportunties.

  • Devising your own sales plan, act and deliver - a “make it happen” approach!

  • Managing multiple projects and clients simultaneously.

-  SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE NEEDED:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the promotional products industry is preferred.

  • A proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets.

  • Extensive knowledge of promotional products, current trends and trade suppliers.

  • Meticulous attention to detail with an organised approach to everything you do.

  • Articulate, fun and dynamic.

  • Intelligent, professional and up for a challenge.

  • Experienced at leading client meetings both on-site and off-site.

  • A confident communicator, experienced using Powerpoint.

  • Super organised - the role is fast paced - you will be expected to manage your own workload proactively and effectively.

  • A skilled negotiator and calm under pressure.

  • A team player, you’ll be accountable for your own targets, supported by our commercial team, you’ll be expected to bring a positive energy to the team.
